Slow fashion with two.b

Co-founder Stéphanie Bassoul shares five ways they incorporate sustainability into their business model.

Montreal-based two.b, co-founded by Stéphanie Bassoul and Anne-Marie Blais incorporate two into everything they do. There are two sides to the business, their private label in which they develop collections specifically for retailers and their brand, two.b | mtl.

  1. Our collection consists of six styles in four colours. We design timeless pieces and don’t rely on trends. We want our styles to pass the test of time.

  2. We work with one ethical factory, which reduces extra mileage.

  3. Made-to-order concept. We only place orders once the consumer has purchased, which leaves us with less excess inventory.

  4. We don’t expand the collection every season. The growth of the collection is slow and monitored to make sure all of our styles have a purpose.

  5. All our products are made from vegan materials. We felt there was an untapped market for vegan leather handbags.
