Register early and get your badge in the mail.
Only approved Buyers/Retailers will receive a mailed badge. If you have been approved and not received your badge in the mail, it will be available to be picked up at onsite at registration.

All buyers who pre-register will be vetted prior to the show, to ensure a fast and easy entry into the show upon arrival at The International Centre. If a buyer registers onsite, one must be verified with a minimum of two (2) pieces of business identification.

Show Policies

Toronto Market Week is a trade show for wholesale buyers and retailers in the fashion, gift, home, and lifestyle industry and is for trade only. All attendees must be registered and verified with a minimum of two (2) pieces of business identification.

Retail staff without appropriate business identification or non-retail industry registrants will be charged $100 per person ($115.04 onsite). Badges are not transferable.

The general public and persons under the age of 18 are not admitted. Nursing infants admitted only when carried in an infant backpack carrier.

Acceptable business identification

Retail Buyers

A minimum of two (2) of the following forms of Business Identification are required.

  • Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)

  • Copy of a Vendor’s Permit of a fashion, gift, or related retail operation

  • Copy of a Business License for a fashion, gift, or related retail operation

  • Invoices (wholesale purchases of fashion accessories and apparel items within the last 6 months)

  • Copy of a Retail HST Remittance form with company name and account number

  • Copy of a GST Remittance form with the company name and business number

  • Store lease indicating type of business

  • Account list (for proof of buying office)

  • Credit reference sheet (list of companies you purchase from)

  • Copy of store’s advertisement in print media

  • CanGIFT registration or show badge with “Retail Buyer” status

For retail staff accompanying the retail buyer registering for the show, staff personnel must show a minimum of one (1) proof of employment:

  • Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)

  • Employee I.D. card

  • Company insurance or benefit card with employee’s name

  • Copy of payroll cheque or payroll printout with employee identified

  • Letter from employer on company letterhead verifying status of employment.

Verified retail buyers and verified retail staff may attend the show free of charge.

New Business

For new businesses, registrants must provide a Letter of Intent from a lawyer, bank, or commercial real estate agent, stating the intention and progress in starting a new retail business. An industry courtesy badge will be issued for admission.

Non-Retail and Other Related Businesses

The following are Non-Retail / Buyer categories:

  • Wholesaler

  • Manufacturer

  • Sales Agents and Manufacturer’s Representatives

  • Media Advertising Sales

  • Government Agencies, Trade and Commercial Offices

  • Designers

  • Consultants

Non-retail businesses may register to attend the show with a minimum of two (2) forms of business identification, and each registrant will be charged a fee of $100.

  • Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)

  • Copy of business license for a fashion, gift, or related industry

  • Company letterhead, brochure, or cancelled cheque

  • Employee I.D. Card

  • Company credit card with employee and company name identified

  • CGTA’s current show badge, in the “Trade”, or “Exhibitor” categories

BUYER BEWARE

Numerous companies are contacting our exhibitors and retailers offering the likes of attendee lists, exhibitor directory listings, and travel/accommodation arrangements. These claims are false. Toronto Market Week DOES NOT sell lists.
