Easter basket must haves

Remember when Easter meant a few chocolate eggs and maybe a new outfit to wear? Well Easter has really stepped up its gifting game. The holiday is on March 31 this year, so it’s time to shift into bunny mode and offer customers and clients some options for those Easter baskets. Here are a few ideas.

The basket. Yes, we love the nostalgia of a pink and purple basket adorned with rabbit ears, but sustainability is key. An easter basket that can be repurposed into décor for the home is really appreciated. Think white or brown, and without the giant handle typically utilized for egg hunting.

Stuffies. And not just bunnies. No Easter is complete without a stuffed animal friend. While rabbits are the go-to, any pastel-coloured friend is a great idea. Lambs? Sure. Birds? Absolutely. But don’t stop there. An Easter dinosaur sounds great, right beside a festive giraffe.

Outdoor toys. Often in Canada, we are blessed with a burst of warm weather at Easter (followed by snow again, of course). So encourage outdoor play with jump ropes, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, balls or even sand toys.

Tween/teen items. The gifting doesn’t stop as children age. Making parents will be on the lookout for tween stuff. Think lip gloss, bath bombs, friendship bracelets, slippers, socks, books and reusable drinkware.

Tech. Yes, tech. Things like phone cases, selfie lights, chargers, gaming gear, headphones and YouTube necessities are all part of growing up now.
